Michael Douglas Finally Admits Decades-Old Affair With Kathleen Turner
Michael Douglas has finally confirmed what Hollywood speculated for decades — that he had a secret affair with actress Kathleen Turner while filming the 1984 blockbuster "Romancing the Stone." The revelation comes from Douglas's new memoir, "One Helluva Ride," with an excerpt published by People.
Douglas, 82, and Turner, now 72, reportedly fell for each other while shooting the film in Mexico, after more than 40 years of both denying any romance. At the time, Douglas was separated from his then-wife Diandra Douglas, with whom he shares son Cameron.
"Kathleen was smart, funny, and sexy with a deep, sultry voice that became her signature," Douglas wrote. "I instantly liked her, and we were immediately attracted to each other." The confession has already prompted a response from Turner herself, according to reports.
The memoir offers a candid look back at Douglas's decades-long career and personal life, with this affair marking one of its most talked-about revelations.
