Tesco and Waitrose Issue Urgent Recalls Over Undeclared Allergens in Popular Products
Tesco and Waitrose have issued urgent "do not eat" warnings after Norfolk Trading Standards flagged safety concerns over undeclared allergens. Tesco's recall involves its Finest Caesar & Smoked Bacon Coleslaw, which mistakenly contains Tesco Finest Four Cheese Potato Salad, meaning it contains undeclared mustard not listed on the packaging.
Those with mustard allergies are urged not to consume it and to return it for a full refund. Meanwhile, Waitrose is recalling its 500g Rhubarb Crumble packs, which contain undeclared oats, posing risks to those with oat or gluten intolerance or coeliac disease. Affected customers can return either product to their nearest store for a full refund.
