Perrot Retires Old Rifle After Record-Breaking Olympic Season
Éric Perrot, the overall winner of the most recent Biathlon World Cup season, has decided to upgrade his rifle during summer training. The Frenchman had used his current stock since 2022, and it was showing visible signs of wear after carrying him through a historic campaign.
With that rifle, Perrot rose through the ranks of world biathlon, becoming individual world champion in 2025, an Olympic gold medalist in the relay and mixed relay at the 2026 Milano Cortina Games, and the winner of the overall World Cup Crystal Globe last winter. "It was about time I could upgrade it," Perrot said of the switch.
The new rifle comes from Kiwi Precision, a Grenoble-based manufacturer that has become a major name in French biathlon equipment.
