Judy Sheindlin, 83, Ends 30-Year TV Run as Son Adam Levy Takes Over the Courtroom
After nearly 30 years on television, Judge Judy Sheindlin is stepping away from on-camera work when her Prime Video series "Judy Justice" wraps in October. Passing the torch to her son, Judge Adam Levy, 58, whose new syndicated show "Adam's Law" premieres this month — almost exactly 30 years after the original "Judge Judy" debuted in 1996. Sheindlin told People she plans to focus on naps, family time, and developing an animated series called "Judyverse," based on viral AI-generated "Baby Judge Judy" videos. She'll remain involved behind the scenes as executive producer. CBS will air a 30th-anniversary retrospective, "Judge Judy: Unfiltered, Unforgettable," on September 22.
