Dozens of Drones Strike Russia's Samara Region, Industrial Site and Homes Damaged
Air defense forces shot down more than 40 drones over Russia's Samara region overnight, regional governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev reported, with no fatalities recorded.
An industrial enterprise sustained damage, and windows were shattered in several residential buildings from the attack. A regional emergency headquarters is now operating to assess the aftermath.
Rosaviatsia temporarily restricted flights at Samara's Kurumoch Airport as a precaution, though that measure has since been lifted.
The strike comes weeks after a similar late-August assault on the region, which damaged an Ozon logistics warehouse and sparked a fire, forcing evacuation of hundreds of workers.
Authorities continue assessing the full extent of Monday's damage as officials urge residents not to share footage of the incident online.
