Ballon d'Or 2026: Every Trophy on Offer as Ceremony Heads to London
The Ballon d'Or celebrates its 70th anniversary this year, with the ceremony moving from its traditional Paris home to London on October 26, honoring Sir Stanley Matthews' inaugural win in 1956. Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembele won last year's men's award, edging out Barcelona's Lamine Yamal.
Beyond the main men's and women's trophies, the night features the Kopa Trophy for best young player, Yashin Trophy for top goalkeeper, and Gerd Müller Trophy for leading scorer, alongside club and coaching honors. Nominees across every category were set to be revealed September 8, unveiling 30 men's and 30 women's contenders ahead of the global journalist vote.
