2026 US Open Fan Week Brings Tennis Stars, Mixed Doubles Drama and New York Energy

The 2026 US Open delivered a lively Wednesday at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, as fans enjoyed a combination of competitive tennis, star appearances and entertainment during Fan Week.

Qualifying matches continued across the grounds, with players battling for valuable places in the singles main draw. Every match carried added importance as emerging stars looked to make their mark at one of tennis’s biggest tournaments.

The major on-court attraction was the US Open Mixed Doubles Championship at Arthur Ashe Stadium. The updated format created fast-paced action, featuring short first-to-four-game sets, no-ad scoring and a 10-point match tiebreak instead of a traditional deciding set. The new structure produced intense rallies and little room for mistakes.

Fans also saw several well-known players preparing for the main draw. Novak Djokovic, Coco Gauff, Naomi Osaka, Aryna Sabalenka and Venus Williams were among the stars spotted on the practice courts as they completed final preparations for the tournament.

Away from the tennis courts, Fountain Plaza hosted a full schedule of live entertainment. Performances included Somos Latin Dance, magician Nicole Cardoza, the Redhawk Indian Arts Council and the Broadway Dreams Foundation. Rising tennis personalities Petra Marcinko and Jack Kennedy, along with doubles standout Erin Routliffe, also featured in fan activities.
Wednesday’s atmosphere highlighted the US Open’s unique blend of elite sport, culture and entertainment. With the singles tournament approaching, excitement is building throughout New York as players and supporters prepare for the next chapter of the 2026 Grand Slam.
