Alison Hammond Exits This Morning Live After Feeling Unwell
This Morning presenter Alison Hammond unexpectedly disappeared from the live broadcast on Friday, October 2, after feeling "a little unwell" during a segment about pets.
The show began as usual with Hammond, 51, alongside regular co-host Dermot O'Leary, but she left partway through. When the programme returned from an advert break, O'Leary addressed her absence, telling viewers:
"Welcome back to This Morning, Alison is feeling a little unwell, so she's just had to duck out. Hopefully she'll be back." Later in the show, O'Leary confirmed Hammond would not be returning, saying: "Ali's feeling a little unwell so I'll be here for the rest of the show."
Representatives for Hammond and ITV have been contacted for comment. Hammond rose to fame in 2002 as a Big Brother contestant and has since built a successful broadcasting career, appearing on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! and Strictly Come Dancing.
