Fever Face Elimination After Game One Loss to Aces
The No. 3 Las Vegas Aces defeated the No. 6 Indiana Fever 102-84 in Game One of the First Round of the 2026 WNBA Playoffs, taking a one-game lead in the best-of-three series. In a rematch of last year's WNBA semifinals, Las Vegas edged ahead early, leading 27-23 after the first quarter, before pulling away in the second to take a commanding 62-47 lead at halftime.
The Aces continued to control the pace in the third quarter, outscoring Indiana 24-18 to maintain their double-digit cushion. Although the Fever outscored Las Vegas in the fourth quarter, the deficit proved too steep to overcome, and the Aces closed out the win comfortably.
The loss puts Indiana on the brink of playoff elimination as the series shifts back to Indianapolis. The Fever will look to even the series in Game Two at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Tuesday, September 29, with tip-off set for 6:30 p.m. ET, broadcast live on Prime. A win is now essential for Indiana to force a decisive Game Three.
