E. Coli Fears Widen: Walmart's Great Value Fruit Recall Now Covers Organic Berry Blend
Frutas y Hortalizas del Sur has expanded its Walmart recall to include one lot of Great Value Frozen Organic Triple Berry Blend over possible contamination with E. coli O145:H28. The affected 10 oz product, containing strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries, carries UPC 7874211226, lot code 6040 01-6, and a "best if used by" date of Feb.
9, 2028. It was shipped to Walmart stores across 16 states, including Texas, Florida, Ohio, and Wisconsin. The expansion follows traceback from an earlier recall of the company's frozen organic blueberries. No illnesses have been reported so far. Consumers are urged to discard the product or return it to Walmart for a full refund.
