Cavan Sullivan Brace Fuels Philadelphia Union's Second Straight 5-0 Rout, This Time Over San Diego
Teenager Cavan Sullivan scored his first career two-goal game in MLS, opening the scoring in first-half stoppage time with a back-heel flick before doubling the lead in the 62nd minute with a shot through goalkeeper Duran Ferree's legs.
He also set up Bruno Damiani's fourth goal in two games, as Philadelphia routed San Diego FC 5-0 on the road Sunday night. Bruno Damiani, an own goal, and Malik Jakupovic's first MLS goal completed the scoring. Andre Blake made five saves for his sixth clean sheet.
The result extends the Union's unbeaten run to 10 matches, moving them into Eastern Conference playoff position, while San Diego's four-game home winning streak snapped, dropping them to a three-game losing skid.
